Utilizing skills taught in the areas of mental health, criminal justice and substance abuse counseling along with the skills and power tools learned at ICA. Clients are able to benefit from nationally recognized evidence based practices such as:

Motivational Interviewing (MI): A goal-directed, client centered style of eliciting behavior change by helping clients explore and resolve doubt and uncertainty.

Family Centered and Solutions Focused Mediation are additional tools and resources utilized as well. What makes solutions focused and family-centered strategies different then the traditional approach to planning and decision-making in family support is that it applies the principles of family-centered practice to the group decision-making process.
